Laurens County Human Resources is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Director of Finance. Under limited supervision or in the absence of the Finance Director; plans, organizes and directs all fiscal operations for Laurens County government.
Work involves supervising department staff and performing managerial and strategic work in the areas of fiscal policy management, accounting management, budget administration, auditing, financial reporting and records maintenance, and other functions as assigned.
Reports to the Finance Director.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA, or associate degree in business administration supplemented by four to five years of financial management experience, preferably in the government sector; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Must possess and maintain a valid SC driver’s license.
