E911 Training/Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Laurens County Human Resources Department is accepting applications for a full time 911 Training/Quality Assurance Supervisor. This position, under limited supervision, develops and delivers training for 911 Communication Center staff and completes quality assurance reviews for the 911 dispatch center. Work involves analyzing and providing solutions to standardized training needs, providing or coordinating training, and maintaining training records., Listening and documenting 911 calls and radio traffic to ensure compliance to policy and procedures. Reports to the 911/EMA Director.

Minimum Training and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three to five years of experience in emergency dispatching; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Must complete or be able to complete specialized training through the Criminal Justice Academy in 911 operations within 12 months of hire date; must complete training and obtain NCIC certification, APCO Basic Telecommunicators Instructor Certification, APCO Fire Instructor Dispatch Certification, APCO Communication Training Officer Instructor certification and APCO Supervisor Instructor Certification within six months of hire date. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
