Inmate Commissary and Making a Deposit into an Inmate Account

The LCSO Jail Division offers inmates an opportunity to order items such as snack size chips, cookies, cakes, candy, drinks, t-shirts, socks, undergarments, writing supplies, puzzle/word search books, occasion cards, stamps, over the counter medicines such as ibuprofen, Aleve, cough drops, etc.  Hygiene products, playing cards and other games, phone time, batteries, radio’s with ear buds, Bible’s and Koran’s may also be ordered.  All canteen items are comparable to “real world” pricing.

Family and friends of inmates housed at the LCSO Jail Division are able to deposit funds into inmate commissary accounts by mailing in money orders or utilizing the McDaniel Cashier Kiosk.  The Kiosk is located in the lobby at Video Visitation.  The Kiosk will accept cash, credit and debit cards.  Deposits will immediately be available in the inmate’s account, barring no delays during holidays or weekends.

Important:  Any monies deposited will be subject to the normal collections for debts owed to the facility by the inmate.  The automated payment Kiosk accepts US Currency in 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 US denominations.  Deposits can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There is a convenience fee of $3.25 for cash deposits and $4.95 fee for credit and debit card deposits.  No currency is accepted through the mail, only U.S. Postal Service Money Orders will be accepted through the mail, there is no deposit fee for money orders.

When using the Kiosk, family and friends must know the full name and date of birth of the inmate or his/her account number.  If that information is unknown, the Video Visitation Deputy can be of assistance.  At the conclusion of the deposit, a receipt will be issued from the Kiosk and a copy of that receipt will be obtained by the Video Visitation Deputy to inform that inmate of the deposit.

A third party will operate the McDaniel Cashier Kiosk.  The LCSO Jail Division will have no responsibility for the operation of this machine.  If there is an issue with a deposit, a phone number will be available to contact the vendor.

Deposits to inmate accounts can also be made online by visiting www.mcdanielsupply.net and click on link for “secure inmate deposit”.
