Part-Time Library Clerk
Position: Part Time with Benefits
This position is for a part-time library clerk for the Clinton branch of the Laurens County Library. Duties include working, under close supervision, at the front circulation desk, shelving materials and answering patrons’ basic questions. Other duties may be assigned as required. Position is for approximately 10 hours per week. An applicant should have the ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word and internet browsers in order to learn library software programs and to assist patrons with basic computer tasks. The successful applicant will have a friendly attitude and helpful, and be able to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and the ability to shift to new tasks quickly. Some evening and Saturday work is required. Applicant must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and should be able to reach, stoop and bend without difficulty.
