Job Summary
The HR generalist is involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle, from sourcing applications to managing employee exits. The HR generalist is a liaison between employees and management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the class’s type of work as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
Conducts pre-employment screenings and eligibility verification
Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, including data entry into the HR system.
Handles all job postings, internal and external
Responsible for screening candidates’ applications/resumes to ensure qualifications meet job openings.
Responsible for scheduling job interviews
Responsible for employment verifications and completion/verification of unemployment claims and submissions.
Responsible for assigning training to all new hires.
Responsible for preparing interview questions for the interview panel prior to interviews.
Generating official internal documents such as offers of contingency and offer letters.
Maintain files for employees and their documents.
Assist with ID badges
Assist with Payroll
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and relater software
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of Human Resources experience is preferred.
HR Generalist Certificate is preferred or willing to obtain with one year of employment
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
