Our Mission
The mission of the Laurens County Veteran’s Affairs Office is to provide education and assistance on the multitude of programs and benefits by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The education is made available to the general public but is predominantly for Veterans, Surviving Spouses, Dependents and beneficiaries that we serve. We provide our clients assistance with claim filing with enrollment in the medical system.
Our Vision
The Laurens County Veterans Affairs Office is a model for all County Veterans Affairs Offices in the state of South Carolina. We engage in a culture of excellence by providing Veterans and Survivors with accurate information on VA benefits and programs; treat all clients with dignity and respect; respond timely to all communication and provide innovative computer service for Veterans to electronically enroll in VA programs and continually increase our knowledge on the multitude of VA benefits.
Our Values
As a department in Laurens County government, we value honesty, respect, service to our country, patriotism, sacrifice and personal excellence. We acknowledge, respect and honor all Veterans for their service to America no matter how, when or where they served.
