Deputy Director – HR

Laurens County Human Resources is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Director of Human Resources.  Under limited supervision or at the direction of the Director of Human Resources; generates or assists in generating policies and procedures, communicates programs and information to employees regarding benefits, disability, retirement, policies, procedures, etc.

Performs human resources functions such as preparing/processing new employee information, processing terminated employee information, conducting and/or administering surveys, preparing reports, analyzing personnel data, etc.

Reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related area of study with three to five years of experience in Human Resources environment, preferably in the government sector; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must have a valid state driver’s license.
