This Department has a very vital and critical role in the maintenance and construction of county roads, bridges and drainage structures. The County’s road system consists of approximately 800 miles of roads of which approximately 600 miles are paved roads and 200 miles are gravel roads. Maintenance for this road system is accomplished through the dedicated efforts of fifteen (15) full time and three (3) part time individuals.
